Got distracted with work, kids and then needed to catch up on the latest Elementary... ;)
Yep, Irene was definitely fridged. Which is as disgusting and upsetting as it sounds, especially since I believe the main reason why she was got rid off was to pacify the Holmes/Watson shippers.
And let's not talk about how Sherlock outsmarted her because her secret password was about how she had feelings for him and he was all like 'hah, woman has feelings, woman is weak!' *eyeroll* And at the end, there was a ludicrous sequence with her being saved by him from dangerous Muslim terrorists. Sexist, racist, you name it.
LOLOL! OMG. that is so ridiculously bad, it's actually funny. Seriously? Who writes this?
In the interest of full disclosure, Elementary does hint that Irene Adler exists... and was [spoiler] fridged by Moriarty in Sherlock's past. But there are also strong indications that she may not be dead and may even have faked her own death. It can go either way.
