Help! Attack of the unwanted bunnies!

Don't you just love it when your muse wants you to write everything and anything but what you should be writing? *grrrr*

So right now, I'm working on 3 really engaging tales:

1. My Star Trek inspired AU called Through A Mirror Darkly (notice the clever little plug ;) ). It's a PT Thriller starring Darth Vader, a Vader who had never been a Jedi but was bred to be a Sith apprentice. He falls in love with a Guardian - a normal human that protects Jedi - called Padme Naberrie - what are the odds. *winks* And he'd do just about anything to get her. It's called Mirror Darkly for a reason - this is a very upside down world, where the Sith are the legitimate rulers of the universe and the Jedi are a coven of feared Force-users who are usually eliminated at birth. With the exception of Obi-Wan Kenobi, almost every Jedi is a Sith/Dark Jedi in canon; and almost every canon Jedi is/was an Emperor's Hand. Sounds weird? It's through a mirror darkly! *g*

2. Then there's a post-RotJ AU that's yet to be titled where Anakin trains Luke. I haven't updated that story in months but the outline is pretty much set and whenever I get this lazy butt moving, I'm going to finish it up.

3. And finally, my first one-shot and now 3-part PT AU (notice an AU-ish pattern here) called Murderess. Don't ask me why I'm doing this to myself. It stood very well as a stand-alone viggie with all the mysterious questions that it asked and I left to the reader's imagination to answer. But suddenly that wasn't enough and I decided to do 2 prequel posts to 'complete' it. Go figure. Maybe sometime next year, I'll do 2 sequel posts!!!

In the mean time, Thwarted Fate is suffering. I can't get beyond my writer's block for an important scene in the next chapter! Then there's a relatively straight forward scene two chapters down that i shoud be able to write in like 10  minutes... but nothing happens when I put fingertip to keypad. Arrrgh! My poor co-writer is over-burdened as it is. I can't honestly push  more scenes/chapters on reihla .  As it is now, I'm barely pulling my own weight. I should have got my parts down by now. I haven't written anything worth betaing since January! *grrr* Initially, I thought working on other projects would put the pressure of Thwarted off me and make me more relaxed to just write instead of plain meet deadlines. Force knows I want to see this story to the end - it's really quite good, the best thing I've ever had a hand in doing - if I say so myself ;) - but right now... I'm just drained!

You're an amazing writer. Don't worry about writer's block, it comes and goes during the course of the story.

Oh the infamous attack of plot bunnies...

Well, apparently you got over your writer's block for Thwarted Fate, didn't you? And Murderess is over. You're free to write Through a mirror darkly. :)

I know the feeling in fact. ;)I have at least three stories going. One involving a weird plot I began ages ago with Padmé more or less getting thrown into the OT (weird, I know...), one with the obligatory "What if Anakin didn't join Sidious?" but this one is kinda lost now, and the other one involving an AU (of course... ;)) I began right after watching ROTS with Obi-Wan saving Anakin's skin instead of letting him burn. But of course, I was attacked by other bunnies, so I began another AU with Padmé not going to Mustafar and instead, waiting for him, which gets darker and darker, and I was attacked by various bunnies like "what if Obi-Wan didn't follow Padmé to Mustafar?" and so on. It's a nightmare. But the worst thing is probably getting to a dead end. Sometimes, fics are writing themselves and sometimes you put characters in a situation and you just don't know what to do with them. ;)

Honey, I hate to disillusion you, but what's coming up at Thwarted Fate is a backlog of scenes/chapters we wrote a while back - a fast depleting backlog, if I may add. :( If I don't get my elbow grease before chp 9 is threw - we're doomed! Doomed, I tell you! Doomed!

Arh! Those bunnies sound like they'd hatch wonderful stories. Especially the one about Padme not going to Mustafar which I've always wanted a really good writer to do. :) Where do you post your stories? because I know I haven't seen them in any of the usual haunts.

Stories writing themselves - what a drag. :(

All right, then I'm glad there's still that backlog... ;)

Stories writing themselves

Well... sometimes. Most of the time, I don't know where I'm going. And my muse is crazy. She makes me write odd things... :P

I don't post them, I keep them on my computer... :p Me=shy, remember? :p Seriously, every time I gather the courage to post something, I always freak out because I feel it's very bad. Argh. If you wish, I could forward you the prologue of it. For now, I've written 4 chapters and I have no idea where this is going. And I hate not knowing where a story is going. The plot with Padmé in the OT is quite weird. I began the story before ROTS even came out. The muse was begging me to write it and I couldn't resist. But now the story is a monster. :o As for the AU Mustafar, it's going... But I'm not satisfied with it. Maybe I'll just post under a sock and be done with it... ;) *sighs*
