Current reading list
1, Perelandra by CS Lewis - sequel to Out of the Silent Planet

2, The Mousetrap and other plays by Agatha Christie - I've finished reading Ten Little Indians, the Mousetrap and Verdict.

3, Mansfield Park by Jane Austen - still stuck at the end of Chapter One. I think I'm afraid to really sink my teeth into it. You can only read a book for the first time once.

Oh, oh, Jane Austen. <3 ^_^ I have a class on her this semester. Well, not entirely on her, but much devoted to. I hear Mansfield Park is a good one. Good luck with these!

Mmm I've heard good things about the MouseTrap... what's Perelandra about?

The Mousetrap was fun, conventional Christie and I easily guessed who was the murderer, but it was nice to read the famous play. (Apparently the longest running stage production ever). Perelandra is the sequel to Out of the Silent Planet and is the middle book in CS Lewis's Space Trilogy, all starring a professor and solar system traveller called Ransom. I'd tell you more but I don't want to spoil you.

Don't know anything about the second two, unfortunately, but Perelandra was one of the great influential books in my life. :) I hope you enjoy it!

Glad to hear it! And of course very glad to find another Lewis fan. Have you read Till We Have Faces, by any chance?

That it is... One of his best, I thought.

Wonderful line up! Can't think of which I like better. Perelandra is simply amazing. Mansfield Park is too one of my favorites. Frankly don't know as much about Agatha, except that she is the grand dame of mystery. :D

Would love to hear what you think when you're done!

You really ought to know more about Agatha Christie! *shock* *horror* How could you live your life without ever having read 'Ten Little Indians' or 'The Man in the Brown Suit' or never having met Hercule Poirot!?!
