Perelandra Icons: Vote for the best
I made even more icons with Perelandra book covers. Wow, this is fun!

They're taken from 2 different book covers. One had all these horrible text across the cover art so I had to crop off a lot of image. The other had the cover art whole and unaltered but the colours were not as bright and though I tried, I think the first is still richer.

Anyway, let me know which of these you like the most.

really? thanks :)*huggles* the whole effect is made with a texture, you know..it's one od my old textures I've uploaded for my flist, but cause I knew no hosting web,it was only the yousendit.com's link, which doesn't work anymore..But if you'll stumble of something that could be useful for you, just say a word,I'll upload them for you and send you the link,or send via e-mail,no problem. I even don¨t ask for the credit, cause only a few pictures used were mine, rest was googled, you know..

Oh dear, I use Photo Editor to manage my icons. I don't get that option of texturization. *sigh*

Why don't you open an account at photobucket.com? You can store a lot of images there and since you have a Paid account you can also host your icons on LJ.

I have a photobucket account,my icons are stored there :) I wanted to find something to host the files,so I have the www.filenanny.com account now :)
I don¨t use the textures as a part of my photoshop..I mean I use them by importing them on the picture as another layer. It's a funny way,but it works, lol:)
The hardest part is always the sharpening, you know..*sighs*..i¨s easier on the icons than on wallpapers ;)

Lol! Sharpening icons is hard for *me*.

at first O*M*G!!! I LOVE your icon!!!*swooons*

because of my strange way of making icon any tutorials are useless,I trick it out by enlarging the original pic and using the smudge tool, sharpen the enlarged pic and then resize it to 100x100 :)

*blushes* Thank you!

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I have limited Internet access over the weekeend so I'm just reading this. :)

Thanks for the tip. That sounds like a good idea.

hope it will help..this trick works for Corel and PS as well,so i think it could be useful for more progs :)
Limited internet is a real pain..I still remember when I counted each single minute and begged my friends not to send big files to me :( *hugs*

Went with #5, as it seems to be the brightest and clearest. And Kudos to you for doing these. Nobody really makes Perelandra icons. Hmmm...

he he. Meaning you need to make a few yourself. ;)
