Yay! So happy the muse is back. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town this weekend :( I'll definitely check it out as soon as I get back. I'm dying with anticipation.

*g* I saw your vote. If it wins, you're in for a surprise. :D

Oh, I have no expectations. I know better than to do that with you ;)

and I realize in retrospect that might sound kind of bitchy. I *totally* didn't mean it like that. *HUGS* I just meant that you play with conventions in lots of really interesting ways and as much as I would love that line to be said between Padme and Anakin, I'm fairly sure it isn't them, or at least not in any context that's warm and fuzzy.

Ah, I see I voted the same way as indiefic, now I'm intrigued considering you told her she'd be surprised.

Although, to be honest, I'd prefer you post the entire story instead of just excerpts!!

Sorry dear! I need to train myself to write without the promise of feedback. It isn't easy, I promise you. *sigh*

I picked "Seeing you safe...."
moonspinner From: moonspinner Date: November 10th, 2007 10:24 am (UTC) (Link)
Aww... One of my favourites.
frostbit_sky From: frostbit_sky Date: November 10th, 2007 03:11 am (UTC) (Link)
I went with the majority although it was a tough one because I am also wanting to read about
“I’ve been living a lie. We both have.”
&
“Master Sifo-Dyas, can you give the Count a message for me?”

Suppose I'll have to be patient ;)

The majority choice, so far, sounds too much like something out of a trashy bodice-ripper. l_n can write better dialogue than that!

Thanks! But appearances can be deceiving... in more ways than one. :p
frostbit_sky From: frostbit_sky Date: November 10th, 2007 06:18 pm (UTC) (Link)
Maybe it's said in a sarcastic and mocking tone?
That was my impression ;)

Message to Count Dooku. Another one of my favourites! Eventually everything will be available so it doesn't matter what you pick.
frostbit_sky From: frostbit_sky Date: November 10th, 2007 06:19 pm (UTC) (Link)
That's true. :)

Sifo-Dyas and the Count in one quote? And no one else has voted for this?!

Clearly there is something wrong with the world. ;) The only thing that could make that quote better was if it somehow included Jocasta Nu. :D
moonspinner From: moonspinner Date: November 10th, 2007 06:45 pm (UTC) (Link)
Hey you! Where've you been? *hugs*

Jocasta's in the quote? Wonder who's being quoted... *whistles*
fialleril From: fialleril Date: November 10th, 2007 07:25 pm (UTC) (Link)
Hey you! Where've you been?

I was consumed by the Dark Side. I briefly ceased to exist and became Darth Obscene-quantities-of-homework. I've now turned back to the good side, but I fear it won't last long... *sighs* This month is crazy full of everything that needs to be done, so you probably won't see much of me except on weekends.

Jocasta's in the quote? Wonder who's being quoted...

Ooooh! *does happy dance* Enough of the A/P blather. We want more torrid Docasta romance! :D

Also, I heart your icon. :)

"Who killed Palpatine?" sounds like the cheesy episode title of a detective show. And I mean cheesy in the best possible way. :P Maybe it is because I'm reading the line in pseudo-dramatic announcer voice.
fialleril From: fialleril Date: November 12th, 2007 03:32 am (UTC) (Link)
*giggles* It does at that. And now I can't read that line without hearing the dramatic announcer voice. :D
veriond From: veriond Date: November 12th, 2007 08:31 pm (UTC) (Link)
Always read one liners in dramatic announcer voice. It makes them hilarious.

Now starring, Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Naberrie in *drum roll* "Who Killed Palpatine?!!" the chilling crime thriller sure to have YOU at the edge of your seat. Witness daring deeds, dastardly deceits, and the romance that outshines a thousand suns. Anakin and Padmé in the film they were born to create: "Who Killed Palpatine?!!" Coming to theatres near you.

ROTFL!
fialleril From: fialleril Date: November 13th, 2007 12:14 am (UTC) (Link)
You are a genius, you know. I feel strongly tempted to write a fic like that now. :D Star Wars as film noir! Yes!

Though for some reason, in my mind Anakin and Padmé now look remarkably like Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. I wonder why that could be? ;)
moonspinner From: moonspinner Date: November 12th, 2007 06:49 am (UTC) (Link)
*g* Too bad it isn't top billing. I think you might have found the scene funny.
veriond From: veriond Date: November 12th, 2007 08:15 pm (UTC) (Link)
Alas. Is there any chance of this story being a film noir? Spoof film noir is even better. I yearn for dorky narration and private eyes who get in way over their head.
fialleril From: fialleril Date: November 13th, 2007 12:12 am (UTC) (Link)
Anakin sat at his desk, thumbing through the last of the day's papers and puffing away at an acrid-smelling cigarette. He was just closing up for the night, when suddenly, she walked in. Padmé Naberrie. She had legs from here to there and back again, and he knew in an instant that this dame was trouble.

"I need your help," she said in a well-practiced breathy voice, her eyes just peeking out from beneath the lacy veil of her hat. "I'm in trouble, and I don't know where else to turn."

He knew it was a mistake, but he found himself saying, "What's the trouble, lady?" before he could stop himself. Damn femme fatales. They get you every time.
