I've started reading Cassandra Clare's City of Ashes, the second book… - moonspinner

I've started reading Cassandra Clare's City of Ashes, the second book in the Mortal Instruments series and a few chapters in (The Cuckoo in the Nest), I'm finding it vastly superior to the first book, City of Bones. Maybe because Clare branched out of the mono-perspective of Clary and is telling the story from a variety of points of view. I always find singular PoV very restrictive for long stories.

I'm taking my time with this book because there isn't any thing else in my "To Read" list at the moment.

My beta doesn't know it yet but she's about to get a copy of the next chapter of Kaleidoscope. >)

Oh wow, she's the same author who wrote the Draco Trilogy fanfic, right? I knew she quit fanfic to write original stuff, but I didn't realize she was published. I'll have to check her out now! :)

Oh, she is. Book 2 is a vast improvement from Book 1 but both are very entertaining. I hope one day they make it to the big screen.

LOL. I have got it. And I am very excited to read it. Sadly, I probably won't be able to get to until this weekend. Hopefully that is soon enough?

On another note, I've actually never heard of the books you're talking about here. Are they good? Would you recommend? ('Cause, you know, I just have so much spare time for reading. LOL.)

That's OK dear. Just be ready to receive even more chapters before the end of the week. I'm on a roll!

Of the two books, the second is the better so it's sort of a backhanded recommendation. The first isn't bad, it's actually quite entertaining, but it borrows blatantly from a lot of popular stories.

Sweet! :D I'm excited to see how you'll end this. And if you'll end up destroying the Force/the universe in the process.

LOL! We’ll see. *g* BTW, I didn’t have Net access all weekend so I just sent you the next chapter.

I got your chapters, both via e-mail and the FFN doc exchange thing. I'm going to be very busy with school-things until after May 6, but then I will get to them promptly. It will give me something to look forward to and encourage me to get my work done faster. ;) Thanks!
