	Writer's Block: Year of the Ox
	Year of the Ox Happy Chinese New Year! The Year of the Ox starts today. What is your Chinese zodiac animal? Do you think you fit the description of the sign? Metal Monkey – Years 1920 and 1980 Metal Monkeys are determined and ambitious individuals and as a result, they’re often successful. Although they’re considered warm-hearted and very likeable, their preference in life is to be alone. Metal Monkeys are loyal to both their employers and their partners. Uncanny. Wood Ox – Years 1925 and 1985

Wood Oxen work well as part of a team, but because of their work ethic, self-confidence and strong sense of morals, they’ll always perform better as the team’s leader. They do have a tendency to be quick-tempered and outspoken.

I'm not sure I would characterize myself as quick-tempered, but the rest of it is fairly accurate.

These things tend to be uncannily accurate. I want to be cynical and say it's subconscious suggestion but I'm not entirely convinced myself.

Happy Lunar New Year to you too! (I prefer to call it the Lunar New Year, as other countries celebrate it, not just China) I'm a wood oxen like fialleril. I wouldn't say that I have a lot of self confidence, or that I'm outspoken in general.

Maybe your month-of-birth sign has a greater influence on you than your year-of-birth sign?

Hm...perhaps. I'm a Taurus (I suppose that's my month of birth sign). Then again, I think Taureans are supposed to be outspoken (which I'm not, in general).

No, not Greek/Roman astrology. It's still part of Chinese astrology. The twelve lunar months are linked to the twelve animals and that sign is called the inner animal. Our inner animals tell us about our inner persona and what motivates us.
