It's happening again. I can't write Thwarted Fate Chapter 12. I somehow managed to get out the first draft and now, I'm stuck in some sort of limbo. To make matters worse, I can't write Kaleidoscope Chapter 30, either! I got out a first draft of that as well which on re-read looks like absolute rubbish! ::fumes:: Both stories are in that terrible position of being in interlude phases right now. The sandwich bit between two important plotlandmarks. The very narrow valley between two cliffs. The plotmarks, cliffs were/would be a breeze to write. Writing the interlude/valley is the killer.
Me too! ♥ I saw it and at once I had to grab. It's a perfect icon for expressing an attitude... of course I HAD to show it to you since you liked the other one. Not that I was glaring at you. LOL
ahh...yes... i know how that feels. I'm not sure if it's better to slog it out & keep writing or give it a break & wait for the 'spark' to come back. If you wait you might never get it done or it might take forever. but when you write & your heart isn't in it it never seems as good.
That's the twister, isn't it? ::sigh::. I've got different and differing counsels on WB. Some say keep striking the stone until the spark lights up. Some say take a break, do other things and let the spark come on its own. I think it all depends...
Meanwhile, I'm so impressed with what you are doing to fill your mind with inspiration. It my be that you are driven by your muse to expand your horizons because there's something it needs out there to finish what you have on the desk, so to speak. Savvy?
Yes, I am definitely searching for inspiration everywhere - books, plays, mythology... Perhaps when I find that missing element, the Writer's Block will go away. :)
*hugs* Huh, I second all of that. Anabasis and Full of Grace are in the same place... Part of me is tempted to blame the time of year. Everything is dead right now, and so is my imagination. Blech.
