Dearth of reviews - moonspinner
Dearth of reviews
Well, yes, we should all write for ourselves and not for others. And a true writer doesn't get inspiration from feedback... But... if that were the case would there really be a reason for posting up a story on the .Net so that others can read and review?

Forgive my glumness. My new spider-man fic has got a total of 3 reviews - one here and two on ff.net since I put it up this week. But according to the stats counter on ff.net, it has been hit 52 times. Now some of those hits were probably random clicks that the clicker (:p) just scanned the first few paragraphs, laughed hysterically and closed the windows. Probably more than some. Who knows? Even it's crap, at least say why by dropping a review!

My story has 627 clicks and 9 reviews. I think it's a feature of the Spiderman section- it never seems to happen anywhere else. ;)

627 clicks and 9 reviews? :O

I'm not really whining. It's just that it's been happening to all the fics I've put up here. I have 2 star wars fics apart from the spidey fic that I've posted to lj and none of them have got a review. Not one. It's kind of disheartening.
